Your First CASA Aviation Medical: What to Expect
If this is your first aviation medical, a clear picture of the appointment makes it far less stressful. Here is what generally happens.
Before the appointment
Complete your application through MRS in myCASA, and gather your photo ID, glasses or contacts, medication list and any reports CASA has asked for.
At the appointment
Your DAME will review your history, medications and current health and complete a careful assessment. Depending on the class of medical and your history, this may include checks such as vision and hearing.
After the assessment
Dr Koshti explains in plain English what happens next and gives practical advice. If something needs more information, you will be told what is needed and why.
First-time applicant or renewal?
Both are available. Whether you are a student pilot, an experienced aviator or returning after a break, the appointment starts with context, not assumptions.
Questions beforehand? Send the clinic an enquiry or book online.
